Method 1: How to Fix Laptop Speaker Crackling Sound in Windows 10 via Sound Control Panel

Step 1: Click on the Start button on your desktop > Settings (located above the Power option).

Step 2: In the Settings window > Systems.

Step 3: Next > click on Sound on the left side of the pane > on the right side > Related Settings > click on Sound Control Panel.

Step 3: In the Sound window > Playback tab > select Speakers > click on Properties.

Step 4: In the Speakers Properties window > click on the Enhancement tab > uncheck disable all enhancements > Apply.

Step 5: Click on the Advanced tab > select the 1st option 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) > Apply.

Step 6:Taskbar > right-click on the volume icon > click on Open Volume Mixer.

Step 7: In the Volume Mixer window > click on System Sounds.

Step 8: In the Sound window > click on Communications tab > select the radio button next to Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80% > Apply.

This should fix your laptop speaker crackling sound. If it persists, try Method 2.

Step 1: Click on the Start button on your desktop > Settings ( located above the Power option).

Step 2: In the Settings window > click on Update & Security.

Step 3: In the next window > click on Troubleshoot on the left side of the pane > on the right side of the pane > scroll down > Get up and running > click on Paying Audio > click on Run the Troubleshooter button.

Step 1: Right-click on This PC > Manage.

Step 2: Next, click on Device Manager on the left side of the pane > right side of the pane > Sound, video and game controllers > click to expand.

Step 3: Right-click on your system’s audio device > High Definition Audio Device (in this case) > click on Update Driver.

Step 4:Next > click on the Search automatically for updated driver software > if no driver available online > click on Browse my computer for driver software.

Step 5: In the next window, click on Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
